Will Kristen Stewart show at Toronto fest?

The final batch of must-see titles has been released by the Toronto International Film Festival, the largest such event in North America that runs Sept. 6-16.

Topping the list: Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman as a cult leader and Joaquin Phoenix as his new recruit.More:  Robert Pattinson emerges

-- Spike Lee's documentary celebration of the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Bad album.
- On the Road
-- We will see if a publicly contrite Kristen Stewart appears at the fest on behalf of this adaptation of Jack Kerouac's Beat-era novel.
- Passion
-- The steamy side of Brian De Palma comes out in this erotic thriller in the mode of his Dressed to Kill. Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace co-star.
- The Paperboy
-- One of the more eyebrow-raising entries at Cannes gets its North American premiere with a startlingly hot-and-bothered performance by Nicole Kidman.

Closing the festival and continuing cinema's reawakening of interest in senior citizens this year is the world premiere of Song for Marion, with Terence Stamp as a grumpy retiree who scoffs at his wife (Vanessa Redgrave) for joining a choir but is soon recruited to join.
